Privacy Policy

Vantage is a product of Alta Signal Co LLC, doing business as Alta Signal Co ("we," "us," "our"). This policy explains what information we collect when you use Vantage, how it's used, and — just as important — what we deliberately do not collect or store.

What we collect

• The job description text you paste in
• Your name, email, phone number, and city/state, if you choose to enter them (all optional) — used only to build the header of your generated resume and cover letter. If you paste or upload an existing resume, we try to pre-fill these from it so you don't have to retype them; you can review and edit them before generating.
• Your existing resume, if you choose to provide one (optional) — either pasted directly, or uploaded as a PDF or DOCX file, which we convert to text in memory and never write to disk
• Your answers to the interview-style questions the tool generates for you — typed, or spoken using the optional "Answer by voice" button (see Google, below, for how voice input works)
• Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
• A payment confirmation record: your Stripe Checkout Session ID and a randomly generated access token, stored on our server with an expiration matching the pass you purchased (24 hours or 7 days), used solely to verify your payment and unlock the tool for that window.

What we do not store

We do not save your resume, job description, answers, or the name/email/phone/city-state you enter on our servers. Each time you generate a resume, cover letter, or terminology suggestions, that content is processed in memory for the single request needed to produce your result and is not written to a database or file. Your browser stores your access token locally (via localStorage) purely so you don't have to re-verify payment on every page refresh — clearing your browser data removes it.

Third parties we share data with

• Anthropic (Claude API) — processes the job description, resume, and answers you submit in order to generate your tailored resume, cover letter, and terminology suggestions. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
• Stripe — processes your payment. We never receive or store your full card details. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Google — if you use the optional "Answer by voice" button in a supported browser (e.g. Chrome), your browser sends your voice audio directly to Google's speech-recognition service to produce a text transcript. This happens between your browser and Google — our servers never receive the audio, only the transcribed text, which you can review and edit before submitting. Typing is always available as an alternative. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• Sentry — we use Sentry for error monitoring, so if something goes wrong while you're using Vantage, technical details about the error (such as a stack trace, the affected page, and a timestamp) are sent to Sentry to help us fix it. Your resume, job description, and answer content are not sent to Sentry. See Sentry's Privacy Policy.

Data retention

Access tokens and their associated Stripe session references automatically expire and are removed at the end of your pass's window (24 hours or 7 days, depending on what you purchased). We do not retain your resume, job description, or answer content at any point beyond the single request needed to generate your result.

Your rights

Because we don't retain your resume content after generating your results, there is generally nothing further to request deletion of. If you have questions about your data, or want confirmation that nothing was retained, contact us at hello@altasignalco.com.

Cookies & tracking

This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. It uses browser localStorage only to remember your active access pass.

Children's privacy

Vantage is not directed at children under 16. Please do not use this service if you are under 16.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
